Love’s Healspace is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating healing spaces for people and animals through animal-assisted therapy programs that include the rescue and rehabilitation of animals in need.

Through therapeutic partnerships between people and animals, we support healing from trauma, personal growth, and stability for individuals and communities, including re-entry support and pathways for those impacted by incarceration.

Meet the Girl Who Started it All

Love’s Healspace was inspired by Love, a rescue dog who survived severe injuries and trauma. Her healing journey proves the power of patience, trust, and the human-animal connection.

Love represents resilience and second chances. Her story reminds us that healing is possible when people and animals are given the space, care, and support they deserve.

We bring people and rescue animals together in safe, rehabilitative environments to support healing for both.

By integrating animal-assisted therapy with rescue and rehabilitation, we create space for trust to be rebuilt, responsibility to grow, and lasting change to take place.

Our work includes:

  • Creating healing opportunities that support emotional growth, stability, and connection

  • Pairing incarcerated youth with rescue dogs to foster empathy, compassion, responsibility, and self-trust

  • Providing structured animal-assisted therapy programs
